Terran Strategy
The purpose of this guide is to teach Starcraft players how to get better and to learn to correct common mistakes. This guide is for anyone who wishes to improve their game and learn how to react in certain situations. This guide does not include build orders, as I believe everyone should develop their own instead of everyone using the same predictable order. In fact, this is my first lesson: Always develop your own strategy, so that you are unpredictable. Unpredictable players are players that win. This guide is just a helper, not an instruction booklet. This guide is broken up by species, with several lessons for each one, followed by tips that apply to all species. Remember, always be unpredictable. Since you are reading this guide, it is a safe bet that others have also read it, and therefore will know everything in this too. This guide also assumes you have already gotten the "feel" about how the game is played. I'm sure a lot of this information found in this guide is also on other strategy guides. I may not have done this on purpose, or even seen it anywhere before, but if it was on purpose, it is because they are good ideas that every Starcraft player should know, and I want to make a guide that includes all the ideas I think are good. I won't credit anyone with ideas simply because everything in this guide is obvious if you look at it logically, and I have no way of knowing who came up with certain ideas first. I use the male forms of pronouns in this guide only, simply because it makes it easier to type that than he/she, him/her etc. I am not sexist, this is just how I make this guide shorter ("he" is shorter than "she").
