The Confederate fleet is very powerful, and includes ships for every type of combat situation. Although powerful, they are more expensive than their Rebel cousins, without much more of a performance boost for your buck (er, credit).

The Terran Naval Yards G-564 missile gunboat is essentially a stretched model of its cousin, the P-361 patrol fighter. As an outgrowth of the earlier P-361 design program, the gunbaot's designers were able to keep the parts commonly used between the two ships; for example, the gunboat' unique tri-mounted wings are identical to the assemblies used by the patrol ship. The forwarded-mounted strakes along the fuselage sides hold missile racks and rocket launchers.

This is a heavier version of the Patrol Ship, and as such, it is much more dangerous. When fighting one, get it to launch its two rockets, and you will have a considerably easier time when trying to destroy one. As an escort, it excells, mainly because of its effective techniques with rockets.

Terran Naval Yards builds the FF-4237 frigate exclusively for the Confederation Navy. It is a rugged and flexible design, more than a match for the puny Atonida Kestrel and any other escort ships. The use of this glorious ship as the backbone of the Navy's task forces will surely be sufficient to crush the Rebellion's pitiful space fleets.

The Frigate is a truely formidable ship. It is fast enough to be able to deal with fighters effectively, it has heavy weaponry, and its shields are nothing to laugh at. Although it can be defeated by a Rebel Destroyer, it is still a good ship to fly (or have as an escort).

The Terran Naval Yards CR-1095 heavy cruiser is a natural outgrowth of the FF-4237 frigate, and indeed it resembles it closely, except for size. These glorious ships, and their complements of four patrol ships each, will surely bring the Rebellion to its knees.

The Cruiser's armament of 4 Patrol Ships gives the cruiser the upper hand in a battle versus a Rebel Cruiser. Its neutron blasters are useless unless you charge at it from its front. Its torpedos can nail you from a good distance away, while its fighter fleet pecks away at you. However, it is incredibly slow, so you never have to worry about outrunning one.
