Wormholes

Wormhole

Wormholes are similar to Hypergates in that they can take you somewhere far away without using up a day for travel. However, there are a few differences between them.

Hypergates, when you activate them, give you a list of places to go to next. Wormholes, on the other hand, take you immediately to another, random, location. You have no idea if you are going to be put into a hostile environment or not.

Using a wormhole is as easy as using the map. Simply "land" on the wormhole, and you've been transported somewhere else.

Other ships can use wormholes, too. The best example of this would be Sol, where Pirates will occasionaly pop out of it's wormhole. I've also had Pirates come through and attack me right as I was on my way back into it, and I know that Hyperioids use them to travel as well.

Here is a list of all known wormholes. Listed are the systems they are in, and what direction you have to fly in to get to it (some are VERY far away, so don't get discouraged if you don't find it immediately). Not listed is S7evyn's wormhole, as that is painfully easy to see, and isn't a "regular" wormhole.
